Meet our Leadership Team

Aiden Sibrava

Lead Pastor

A little bit about me

A country boy who loves Jesus, his wife Jess, and the people of the South Coast. One of the younger rectors of the Sydney Anglican Diocese, Aiden is deeply committed to rural and regional ministry. He grew up in the town of Cooma, NSW, learning to ski and to play soccer. He moved to Sydney for the last few years of high school, before returning to Canberra, where he studied Industrial Design at UC. If he had to choose a career outside of ministry, he would have loved to be a toy designer.

Aiden’s call to ministry came during university. During WWII, toy factories were pressed into service to manufacture the Sten Gun. All of society was mobilised to commit to the “big thing” happening in the world, society’s greatest need. But the biggest thing happening in the world is described in Acts 17: God calls all people, everywhere, to repent; because He has set a day when He will judge the world in righteousness by the man He has appointed: Jesus Christ. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead. This is the big reality that drove Aiden into ministry: first MTS, then Moore College, before going to Gunnedah in the Armidale Anglican Diocese as a curate (graduate / trainee) and then Kiama Anglican Church on the South Coast as an assistant pastor. From there he was called to serve as Rector at South Coast Anglican Church (Ulladulla and Milton) and he is so excited to commit to our mission: for our churches to be that lifeboat, to be that rescue ship; tasked to proclaim the Gospel of God’s love and salvation in Jesus to a people who so desperately need it.

Steven Kouth

Assistant Pastor

A follower of Jesus since I was a boy, my heart is for believers to grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus and for not-yet believers to discover who Jesus is and what He has done for them through the Gospel.

Growing up in a Christian family in Sunbury and Canberra, church and talking about Jesus were a constant. As I grew up, although never losing my faith, I drifted from actively following of Jesus as I struggled to find my place and identity in the world, trying instead to go it alone in my own strength.

While attending a Christian conference at age 21, the preacher spoke from the book of Philippians. What hit home was Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” In that moment, all that I was searching for as a young adult found an answer in Jesus.

Since then, that’s been my motivation – to live for Jesus and serve Him. That’s taken me from completing an honours degree in international relations, to bible college at Sydney Missionary & Bible College, to serving as an assistant in the Bathurst Diocese and Priest-in-Charge of West Wyalong Anglican to now serving as Assistant Minister at South Coast Anglican Churches – Milton & Ulladulla.

I’m joined by my wife Caitlin and our daughters Hannah and Rachel, and we love doing life with believers of all ages to make Jesus known.

While worshipping in this church when on holidays Rowena, and her husband heard the Lord tell them to move to the area and make St Martin’s their home church. So they moved to Burrill Lake and started serving in the church over 20 years ago. Rowena’s great desire is that church is a place where all people feel accepted and grow in their love of Jesus. “I am here because I’m a sinner. I know that we all need Jesus, and need each other to follow him better.” Rowena also enjoys, outrigging on the lake, dragon boating with the Nowra Waterdragons and catching up with friends and family.

She  also plays violin in our  local String Orchestra.
